Urgent Translation

Do you have an urgent translation requirement and need a fast turnaround, well – you have come to the right place. This is very normal for us!

We work to your deadline without compromising on quality.
As much as we would all love for life to be ordered, planned and prepared for well in advance, sometimes it just doesn’t work out like that.

Have you had an unexpected visit from an overseas colleague and need a translation immediately, or suddenly find yourself in need of a professional interpreter for a last-minute meeting with a client from abroad? What if you’re attending a trade show abroad, have only just finalised your new brochure content and need a quick translation turnaround so it can be sent to print within the week? Has your foreign estate agent suddenly asked for certified translations of your documents before you can proceed with the purchase of your new home?

Don’t panic – Lingua Translations can help! p.s. ‘Urgent’ is normal in our world …

How many words can we translate in a day?

Ordinarily, we would expect one of our translators to translate between 2,000 – 2,500 words per working day (any more than this and you risk a rush job whereby the translator has not had sufficient time to read over his work and think carefully about the most appropriate terminological choices – not what you need for your lovingly crafted marketing materials!).

However, we understand that deadlines are becoming ever tighter and that you will not always have the abundance of time you might wish for to prepare a translation. We also understand that unexpected circumstances do arise, leading to a very tight deadline and the need for reliable, quick translations that still live up to the high standards that you expect from us.

Panic over, we are always prepared!

We’ll assess how many translators will need to be assigned to your project to ensure it is completed by the deadline. While we do not normally recommend multiple translators working on the same project due to potential issues with consistency, we recognise that it is sometimes necessary to ensure maximum possible quality. Because we fully understand the problems that can arise, we do our utmost to avoid them by ensuring that our translators communicate closely and providing them with glossaries to ensure terminological consistency.

Your own, personal Project Manager will work closely with the team of translators (all of whom will be specialists in your subject matter) throughout the project, ensuring that it is being completed to deadline and ensuring the quick resolution of any issues that may arise.

You can help us to speed things along!

Any reference material that you can provide us with may be useful to the translators. This reference material might be a previously translated brochure or document or a glossary of approved terminology, for example. Having these materials will greatly facilitate the translator’s task by ensuring maximum consistency and cutting down the time that they have to spend on research.

If you are aware that you will soon be requiring an urgent translation but do not yet have your documents finalised, you should still feel free to contact us. We can begin to work with you by preparing glossaries of translated terms, booking translators for availability for when the documents will be ready for translation and providing the translators with any reference material or draft copies well in advance. This ensures a swift and accurate translation as soon as the documents are ready.

Privacy & Non-Disclosure

We fully understand that your documents may contain highly confidential information. This is why our linguists are obliged to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) when they join our team to ensure that the content of your documents remains private, guaranteeing your peace of mind.

Our fixation with weather

Our fixation with weather   Us Brits know that when a conversation goes dry, the antidote is to start talking about the weather. Whether we love it hate it,  we’ll constantly comment on it! We love to use weather in everyday conversations even when we’re not actually talking about weather. There are so many weather …
