Watch out for under-qualified translators ‘practicing’ their medical translation skills on you!

Do you need a fully qualified medical translator or interpreter but are worried that they won’t be good enough or understand your medical terminology?

Don’t worry – you are in very safe hands.

What We Do For You

We talk to you about your project, get a full understanding of what you need and then make it happen by working with the best linguists for you. It’s as simple as that.

Do You Need an Overseas Medical Expert?

If you have a medical document that needs to be translated in any field of medicine, you need an in-country medical specialist. We understand that you need to be confident that anything translated into another language will require a high level of experience and understanding of your content.

Our in-country medical translators are individually selected for each translation, based on their expertise and location so you can be guaranteed a high quality standard, consistently and not have to worry about language, that’s our job!

Looking for an Interpreter who understands Medical Terminology?

If you need a medical interpreter to attend a hospital appointment, a meeting or you have an urgent requirement in real-time,  we want to hear about it. Our medical interpreters are medically trained in their own right, as are our British Sign Language Interpreters.

You will be surprised at what options are available to you, what lengths we will go to to make sure that you will never have to worry about needing a medical interpreter again!

Do you want to get your transcriptions, translations and subtitles all done in one place?

We understand it can be time consuming and very annoying trying to work out what you need, just to get one task done. Well, in-country experts can are multi-talented and selected for their skill and expertise.

We have linguists who will easily:

  1. Transcribe your video
  2. Translate your content
  3. Subtitle your video

It’s easy when you know how, and we know how to look after you! Get in touch so we can help you to plan your project.

We Know What Works, And What Doesn’t

When you need a translation or an interpreter in the medical sector there are a number of important factors that you need to take into consideration. Firstly, don’t settle for under-qualified linguists to carry out your translations, they won’t understand the terminology fully and as we all know this could be a matter of life or death. Nothing can be left to chance. There are so many linguists in the translation industry to try and pass themselves off as specialists, which they most certainly are not. Scary isn’t it!

It is imperative that the translators work in their native country.

Why? Let us explain:

When a linguist moves away from their native land, their language development stops. When language in their country evolves (which it does), their language halts. An example here is when a child goes to a bilingual primary school, then an English Secondary School – their language development stops.

Answers to Your Questions

What’s the difference between a translator and an interpreter?

A translator translates the written content and an interpreter translates the spoken word.

Do you have a last minute urgent need for translation or an interpreter?

That is normal! All you need to do is get in touch with us:
Tel: +441792 469990 or
Email info@lingua-translations.com and we will put a plan together and select the best linguists for the job. For larger jobs, we put teams together. The last thing we want is for you to miss a deadline!

What about machine translation?

Machine translation has it’s place in the world but most definitely does not belong in the medical industry. In a nutshell, you cannot rely on its accuracy so, it isn’t good enough.

How many words can a translator translate every day?

Obviously, depending on the complexity of the content, a translator averages 2-2.5K words per day.

One of our customers, a University had some documents translated and there was no equivalent translation in the other language. We translated it and added a new word to the Dictionary.
