1 month in…
It’s been a month today since I started my internship at Lingua Translations!
It’s been a month today since I started my internship at Lingua Translations, and I may be repeating myself, but I’m saying it anyway: so far, it really has exceeded my expectations!
When I applied for this internship 2 months ago, I had a vague idea of how a translation agency works. My main objective was to learn a bit more about the ins and outs of a translation agency, to see if I like it and if I would potentially want to work as an in-house translator or a Project Manager after graduating.
I was not expecting to do any translation. It has been really enjoyable seeing that side of the business.
I was not expecting to start Project Management so soon, and handle projects on my own (and I wasn’t expecting to like it).
I was not expecting such a friendly (yet, professional) atmosphere in the office.
July should bring more nice music, more positive atmosphere, more Starbucks coffee (and hopefully more sun!).
It should also bring more Project Management and/or recruitment and/or domain research and social media, who knows? This is what you should expect when working in a translation agency: every day brings different challenges!
